Ranger College is thrilled to announce that we are in contract negotiations with Comanche Independent School District (ISD) to acquire the property located at 200 E. Highland, currently housing the district's administration office and Comanche Early Childhood Center. This strategic acquisition will enable Ranger College to establish a new campus that will house our growing nursing programs. 

 

The planned renovations for the Highland Street property will transform it into a state-of-the-art facility to house our nursing school. Ranger College Dean of Allied Health, Dr. Sandra Lee, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, noting, "The leadership and nursing faculty are deeply committed to contributing to the healthcare workforce needs of the geographical area." Currently, Ranger College has 88 students enrolled in nursing, and with the new campus, we anticipate growth to accommodate up to 150 students in the near future. 

 

Ranger College will offer an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program, preparing students to become registered nurses. Additionally, we will provide a Vocational Nursing (VN) Program, a one-year certificate program, with an opportunity for students to further their education through our "Bridge" Vocational Nursing to Registered Nursing Program.

 

Our nursing programs have achieved remarkable success, with a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examinations in 2023. This success is mirrored in our enrollment numbers, with the VN program experiencing a 42% increase and the RN program a 76% increase in the Fall of 2024.
