Ranger, TX – May 8, 2024 – Ranger College’s esteemed nursing programs proudly announce a remarkable achievement of 100% pass rate on recent national licensure examinations, as confirmed by the Texas Board of Nursing at their quarterly meeting in Austin on Thursday, April 18. This impressive accomplishment underscores the exceptional quality of the curriculum, and dedication of the program leadership, faculty, students, and clinical partners.
Both the Ranger College Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Vocational Nursing (VN) Programs scored 100% on their first attempt at the National Council Licensure Examination in the 2023 reporting year. Two documents, the “Report of 2023 NCLEX-PN® Examination Pass Rates for Vocational Nursing Education” and “Report of 2023 NCLEX-RN® Examination Pass Rates for Professional Nursing Education Programs” presented to the Texas Board of Nursing show that Ranger College was one of 17 VN and one of 17 ADN programs in the state to achieve 100%. Texas has 87 vocational nursing programs, and 129 registered nursing programs.
“This milestone is a testament to the unwavering support of our administration, dedication of our highly qualified nursing faculty, and the relentless drive of our students,” said Dr. Sandra Lee, Dean of Ranger College’s Division of Allied Health. “I am so proud of our faculty for their teaching excellence, thankful for the clinical agencies who hosted our students, and of course thrilled to see our graduates become licensed nurses who will make a significant impact in their communities with competent, safe nursing care.”
This 100% pass rate achievement solidifies the program’s reputation as one of the highest quality nursing education providers in Texas. Ranger College’s Nursing Department continues to prioritize the success of its students. Ranger College is designated as a Caring Campus by the Institute for Evidence-Based Change, and all Ranger nursing faculty participate in campus initiatives to promote a culture of caring that improves student outcomes.
The College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the nursing graduates, the faculty members and extreme gratitude to our numerous clinical partners who have all contributed to this significant success. Ranger College remains dedicated to maintaining the high standards that have led to this accomplishment and to continuing its tradition of excellence in nursing education.
