Veteran Readiness & Employment (Chapter 31)
Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) assists veterans with service-connected disabilities in preparing for and maintaining meaningful employment.
What the Benefit Covers
- Tuition and fees
- Books, supplies, and required equipment
- Career counseling and job placement assistance
- Possible monthly subsistence allowance
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have a service-connected disability rating from the VA
- Must be approved by a VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
- Must have an employment handicap as determined by the VA
How to Apply
Students must work directly with a VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to determine eligibility and receive authorization for training.
Required Documents
Submit the following to the Financial Aid Office:
- Authorization from your VA Counselor
- Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges
- Degree Plan (completed by your Ranger College advisor)
