All updates are processed by the appropriate college office to ensure records remain accurate and compliant with institutional and federal requirements.

Students should ensure all information is complete and accurate before submitting the form. Additional documentation may be required for legal name changes.

The Complete Withdrawal Form is required for students who live on campus and wish to officially withdraw from Ranger College. This process ensures that all campus departments are notified and that your records are properly updated.

To complete your withdrawal, this form must be taken to each required office in the order listed for approval. These offices may include:

  • Coach or Sponsor
  • Library
  • Financial Aid Office
  • Bursar
  • Dorm Supervisor (including key return)
  • Vice President of Student Services
  • Counselor
  • Registrar

Each department will review your account to confirm that all obligations have been met, including academic, financial, and housing responsibilities.

Students will also be asked to reflect on their experience by answering brief questions related to their goals and outcomes while attending Ranger College.

Important:
Failure to complete the withdrawal process in full may result in a grade of “F” for all courses in which you are enrolled for the semester. Your withdrawal is not considered official until the completed form is submitted to and processed by the Registrar’s Office.

Students must sign and date the form to finalize the request.

The Complete Withdrawal Form is required for students enrolled at Ranger College who are not living on campus and wish to officially withdraw from all classes. This includes students attending online, at the Erath County Center, or the Brown County Center.

To initiate a withdrawal, students must complete and submit the form to the Registrar’s Office. The official withdrawal date is determined by the date the completed form is received.

Students will be asked to provide:

  • Student identification information
  • A brief reflection on their goals while attending Ranger College
  • Feedback on their experience and how the College could have better supported them

Once submitted, students will remain on course rosters through the end of the semester but will receive a grade of “Q” for all enrolled courses.

Important:

  • Withdrawal is not official until the form is received and processed by the Registrar’s Office
  • Students must sign and date the form to authorize the request

The Release of Student Education Records Form allows students to authorize Ranger College to share their educational records with designated individuals. This form is required when a student wishes to grant access to their information to a parent, guardian, spouse, employer, or other third party.

By completing this form, students may permit access to specific types of records, including:

  • Academic records
  • Financial and accounting records
  • Student disciplinary records

Students must list each individual they are authorizing and provide their relationship to each person. In addition, students are required to create a unique password for each authorized individual. It is the student’s responsibility to share this password with those individuals, as it will be used to verify their identity when requesting information.

Important:

  • This form does not serve as a request for grades or transcripts
  • Authorization remains in effect until it is revoked in writing by the student or the authorized individual
  • The form is not valid until it has been submitted to and processed by the Registrar’s Office

Students must sign and date the form to grant authorization.

The questionnaire is a multi-part form that collects detailed information about the student’s background, including:

  • Basic student information (name, student ID, date of birth)
  • Previous college enrollment history within Texas
  • Residency claim and state or country of residence
  • High school or GED completion information
  • Length of time living in Texas
  • Citizenship or immigration status

Depending on responses, students may also be required to provide additional details about:

  • Financial independence or dependency status
  • Parent or guardian residency (if claimed as a dependent)
  • Employment history in Texas
  • Property ownership or business ties in Texas
  • Military affiliation or residency designation

How the Process Works

The form uses a structured set of questions to guide students through the residency determination process. Based on responses, students may be directed to complete additional sections or provide supporting documentation.

In some cases, students may be required to submit an affidavit confirming Texas residency if certain criteria are met.

Important Information

  • All students must complete and sign the certification section verifying that the information provided is accurate
  • Providing false or incomplete information may result in denial of admission, reclassification, or disciplinary action
  • Students are responsible for updating the College if their residency status changes

Why This Matters

Accurate residency classification ensures:

  • Correct tuition and fee assessment
  • Compliance with Texas state regulations
  • Proper eligibility for financial aid and state-funded programs

The Single Class Drop Form is used by students who wish to drop an individual course while remaining enrolled in other classes at Ranger College. This form ensures that the request is properly reviewed, approved, and recorded by the appropriate offices.

Students must provide:

  • Course information (course name, number, section, and meeting time)
  • Reason for dropping the course
  • Current enrollment term (fall, spring, summer, etc.)
  • Student status information (including dual credit or athlete status, if applicable)

Additional approvals may be required depending on the student’s status:

  • Dual Credit students must obtain a high school counselor’s signature
  • Student-athletes must obtain their coach’s signature

To complete the process, students must submit the signed form to the Registrar’s Office. The official drop date is the date the completed form is received.

Important:

  • Students will remain on the course roster but will receive a grade of “W” for the dropped course
  • Dropping a class may impact financial aid and satisfactory academic progress; students are encouraged to consult the Financial Aid Office before submitting the form
  • Tuition and fee refunds are based on the date the form is submitted and follow the schedule outlined in the Ranger College Catalog
  • State law (Senate Bill 1231) limits the number of courses a student may drop during their academic career

The form must include all required signatures and be submitted to the Registrar’s Office before the drop is considered official. Students must also sign and date the form to finalize the request.

The Transcript Request Form is used by students and former students to request an official copy of their Ranger College academic transcript. Transcripts may be sent directly to another institution, employer, or designated recipient, or prepared for student pickup (photo ID required).

Students will be asked to provide:

  • Full name and identifying information (including date of birth)
  • Contact information
  • Last semester attended at Ranger College
  • Delivery method (mail or pick-up)
  • Recipient mailing information for each requested transcript

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), transcripts may only be released with the student’s written authorization and signature.

Submission Options:

  • Email the completed and signed form to the Registrar’s Office
  • Mail the form to Ranger College, Attn: Registrar’s Office

After submitting the request, students must contact the Bursar’s Office to complete payment. A $5.00 fee per official transcript is required, and transcripts will not be released until payment is received.
