Dual Credit Welding
The Ranger College Dual Credit Welding program provides high school students with the opportunity to develop hands-on welding skills while earning college credit. Designed for students interested in skilled trades and industrial careers, this program introduces the foundational techniques and industry knowledge needed for success in the welding field.
Students receive training in welding fundamentals, shielded metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding, and blueprint reading. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical experience, students build technical skills that can prepare them for entry-level employment, industry certifications, or continued education in welding and manufacturing programs.
By participating in dual credit coursework during high school, students can gain valuable workforce experience and earn up to 16 college credit hours while getting a head start on their career pathway.
Junior and Senior Years
Junior Year: Semester 1 and 2 (8 hours)

Senior Year: Semesters 1 and 2 (8 hours)
