Dual Credit Student Enrollment Checklist

Getting started with dual credit is an exciting step toward earning college credit while still in high school. This enrollment checklist is designed to guide students and parents through each step of the process, ensuring all requirements are completed accurately and on time.

From application and testing requirements to course registration and documentation, this checklist helps keep everything organized so students can successfully enroll and begin their dual credit journey with confidence.

Students are encouraged to follow each step carefully and reach out for assistance if needed to ensure a smooth and successful enrollment experience.

  • Submit a Dual Credit Application for Ranger College Admission. Please click here to fill out the Dual Credit Application. (Please enter your Social Security Number when applying to prevent application processing issues, which will delay enrollment.)
  • Have your high school counselor submit your most recent transcript.
  • Submit a signed Parent Permission Form. (Once submitted, the form is valid throughout the duration of the dual credit program.) All enrollment documents required must be turned in to the high school counselor.
  • Submit a transcript from any other college you have attended as a dual credit
    student. 
  • See your high school counselor for class selection.
  • Buy books: either through RC Bookstore or other retailer.
  • Pay for classes: online via MyRanger, mail, or phone.
  • Once enrolled, activate your Ranger College e-mail address.

  • Submit a transcript from any other college you have attended as a dual credit
    student (skip this step is you have not attended dual credit classes at another college since your last enrollment at Ranger College).
  • Have your high school counselor submit qualifying test scores. (TSI, ACT, SAT, etc.) as needed. (Please contact your high school counselor to verify if TSI scores are needed).
  • If not TSI exempt, take the TSI Assessment.

  • See your high school counselor for class selection.
  • Buy books: either through RC Bookstore or other retailer.
  • Pay for classes: online via MyRanger, mail, or phone.
  • Once enrolled, activate your Ranger College e-mail address.
