Forms for Current and Prospective Dual Credit Students

Students who have completed qualifying exams such as the ACT, SAT, CLEP, AP, or other approved exams may use this form to request college credit consideration at Ranger College. The form allows students to submit exam information, the date the exam was taken, and the course credit being requested for evaluation by the Registrar’s Office. Once reviewed, the college will determine eligibility for awarded credit based on official scores and institutional guidelines.

The Dual Credit Class Drop Form is used by students who wish to withdraw from a dual credit course at Ranger College. A separate form must be completed for each course being dropped. Students must provide course information, the reason for the drop, and obtain approval from their high school counselor before submission to the Ranger College Dual Credit Office.

Students should be aware that dropping a course may result in a grade of “W,” could impact financial aid eligibility, and may affect tuition refunds based on the official refund schedule in the Ranger College Catalog. The official drop date is the date the completed form is received by the Registrar’s Office.

The Dual Credit Parent Permission Form is required for all students participating in Ranger College’s dual credit program, including students who are 18 years or older. This form confirms that the student and parent/guardian understand the expectations and responsibilities associated with dual credit enrollment.

By signing the form, students and parents acknowledge financial responsibility, authorize the release and exchange of academic records between the high school and Ranger College, and grant permission for course registration. The form also confirms that students must meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements or qualifying exemptions before enrolling in eligible courses. Completed forms should be returned to the student’s high school counselor.

The Release of Records Form allows Ranger College students to authorize specific individuals to access their educational records. Students may grant permission for designated individuals, such as parents or guardians, to receive information related to academic records, financial aid, accounting records, or student discipline records.

As part of the authorization process, students must create a unique password for each approved individual to help protect the privacy of their information. This form remains in effect until it is revoked in writing by the student or authorized individual and must be filed with the Registrar’s Office before access can be granted.

The Special Accommodations Request Form is available for students who may need academic accommodations due to a documented learning, psychological, or physical disability. Students may use this form to request specific accommodations and communicate their needs to Ranger College.

Students requesting accommodations must provide appropriate documentation of their disability and meet with the Director of Counseling to discuss available support services. Ranger College is committed to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 by providing reasonable accommodations for qualified students.
