Dual Credit Cosmetology
The Ranger College Dual Credit Cosmetology program allows high school students to begin building professional cosmetology skills while earning college credit. Designed for students interested in beauty, wellness, and salon careers, this pathway combines classroom instruction with hands-on training in key areas of the cosmetology industry.
Students gain foundational knowledge in cosmetology principles, salon development, chemical treatments, skincare, manicuring, hair coloring, and state licensing regulations. The program helps students develop technical skills, professionalism, and industry knowledge that can prepare them for future licensure and careers in cosmetology and related fields.
Through dual credit coursework completed during the junior and senior years of high school, students can earn up to 28 college credit hours while getting a head start on their career goals.
