Welcome to Ranger Collegeʼs Music Department! It is the mission of the music department to be actively involved in preparing music majors for transfer to four-year institutions as well as providing musical experiences for the Ranger College community.

The department offers a comprehensive program of instruction for all students who expect to become professionals in the field of music. For general college students, we offer a wide spectrum of opportunities for disciplined personal growth and creative achievement. In addition the department produces musical events that enhance the cultural life of the campus, the community, and the surrounding region.

We offer courses in music theory, sight-singing & ear training, private voice, music appreciation, American music, and choir.

The Music Department at Ranger College is dedicated to excellence in teaching, advisement, creative and scholarly activities, and the cultivation of an academic environment rich in opportunities for musical growth, personal challenge, and service.
