| Baritone Solomon Cross loves to perform works for the concert stage such as oratorios, cantatas,
sacred songs and spirituals. Soloist performances include Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass performed
in Boston’s Jordan Hall, Bach’s cantata 78 Jesu, der du meine Seele, performed in Brown Hall at
New England Conservatory, the oratorio Judas Maccabaeus with the Master Singers of
Worchester, Haydn’s Mass in Time of War with the Masterworks Chorale, Mendelssohn’s Lord
God of Abraham, from his oratorio Elijah and a collaboration with Conductor Peter Lea-Cox of
the Lecosaldi Ensemble of London as the baritone soloist in Bach’s cantata 182 Himmelskonig,
sei willkommen.
As a choral director he has conducted choirs and educated students in Massachusetts from the
Cambridge Public Schools, Mansfield Public Schools, and Sacred Heart School. An active
composer, Solomon Cross has written works for solo voice and mixed choir.
Mr. Cross conducts the choral ensemble at Ranger College and teaches American music, music
appreciation, and applied voice.
He holds a Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston’s
Moores School of Music and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the New
England Conservatory of Music in Boston Massachusetts.
